Common questions

Where is my data stored?

On your device, and synced through the private database of your own iCloud account. There is no account to create with us and no server of ours involved — we cannot read your records. See the privacy policy for the detail.

How do I move to a new phone?

Sign in to the same iCloud account and your locker syncs across on its own. If you would rather not rely on iCloud, open Privacy → Export backup, move the file over securely, and choose Restore from file on the new device.

Scanning didn't read my receipt correctly. What now?

Just type over the fields — scanning only ever fills in boxes you left empty, and never replaces something you typed. Faded thermal paper, creases, and low light are the usual culprits; scanning with the camera generally reads better than picking an existing photo because it straightens and crops the receipt first.

Can I add more than one photo?

Yes. A purchase holds an ordered gallery, so you can keep the receipt, the product, and the serial-number label together. The first photo is the primary one shown in lists, and you can promote any other photo to first with "Make primary".

I turned on the Face ID lock and it won't let me in.

Tap Unlock to try again. The lock accepts your device passcode as well as Face ID or Touch ID, so a failed or reset biometric enrollment can never shut you out of your own records.

How do I add the widget?

Touch and hold an empty part of the home screen, tap Edit → Add Widget, search for Purchase Locker, then pick the small or medium size. It refreshes daily and after you change a record.

How do notifications work?

Optional local reminders alert you before return deadlines and warranty expirations. They are scheduled on your device and never travel through a remote server.

How do I report a problem?
